IMG 20190814 WA0016Achieving SDGs 2030 and Africa 2063 Agendas requires concerted efforts and meaningful involvement of youth in Africa to identify their roles and responsibilities to achieve sustainable development. UYONET is proud to associate with "The Africa Youth Conference on Advocacy and Development", that is to be hosted in Uganda from 15th - 16th August, 2019 at Silver Springs Hotel, Kampala. The conference, organised under the theme: “Inspiring the African Youth to Act together for Sustainable Development” will serve as a platform for youth in Africa to come together and jointly plan for countries development agenda.

The conference is timely for Youth in Africa to engage the continental Africa Union 2063 Agenda and SDGs 2030 Agenda to shape and harmonize Youth involvement and participation in addition generating government’s commitment to support “United Africa Youth Agenda’. It brings together youth coordinated by AFRI-YAN, AYADNET, Youth for Africa and other youth coordination groups in Africa, to provide a bigger milestone for joint Africa Youth Voice to meaningfully address the challenge that Youth in Africa.

The Conference shall mainly focus on:

  • Youth Entrepreneurship, Employment and Job Creation,
  • Meaningful Youth participation and involvement,
  • Access to quality SRHR information and services, universal Health care and Education for all,
  • Skills development, and
  • Youth in Agriculture.
